Abstract
The story is a universal literary genre that has many capabilities, among them it can be said that it shows the deep actions of the human soul; Because stories deal with people's inner experiences, thoughts, feelings and introspections. Literature and psychoanalysis are two language systems and two different knowledges that complement each other despite this difference. Social psychology is one of the branches of psychological knowledge that examines people's social behavior and is a bridge between the two sciences of psychology and sociology. In this research, with the help of social psychology components, including; Matching with the congregation, self-justification, human aggression, etc., the logical analysis of how they are reflected in the novel "Symphony of the Dead" by Abbas Maroufi has been discussed and it has been determined which of them has a stronger presence in the novel. has it. The theoretical foundations of this research were formed based on the theories of Elliott Aaronson and Myers, experts in the field of social psychology. The obtained results show that the social psychological components of each one are somehow reflected in the social behavior of the characters in the novel, for example; Aligning with the congregation by following authority, imitating, internalizing. Stereotyped ideas and prejudices are shown in the novel by using stereotyped patriarchal attitudes of the society, and among the components of social psychology, aggression has a stronger presence than other components. , so that the story revolves around it.
